resting in peace

One of my uncle, he is my mother's mother's younger brother or to be precised, "kao gong" in cantonese. He was being sent to the Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, Tanjung Rambutan since 48 years back. Just for your information, Tanjung Rambutan is a place, but not the hospital by itself. In tanjung rambutan, there are SMK Tanjung Rambutan, Klinik Tanjung Rambutan and etc. So, people from Malaysia, I guess you all did read about this in one of the BM sastera we learnt, we did come into contact with this hospital, HBUK, Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta. So, don't simply use Tanjung Rambutan to represent the Hospital Bahagia next time.

My uncle is now 74-year-old. I only visited him once in the HBUK, together with my parents and siblings, in the year 2001. I don't have the courage to get off the car and walk down to talk to him, but according to my parents, he wasn't seriously mental retarded. Just the very minor case, he wasn't caged, he is allowed to walk around, do some work in the very large HBUK.
Okay, the environment there is very comfortable and with lots of plants. I don't get to see the serious mental retarded patients in there, who are being caged up but most of them, are walking around and passing by our car, looking at me and my siblings as if we're the animals in the zoo.

You know what? He claimed that HE HAS NO RELATIVES. Even when my mum tried to introduce herself to my uncle, he INSISTED that he has no relatives, and he DON'T KNOW about anyone. So sad to hear all these, from what they recorded, we're one of the 2 families who did visit him in 48 years. Just imagine if you're the one being dumped off by your parents, and not getting any attention or support from your family. I would say, my uncle case wasn't that serious, if the family would give some support, and lend a helping hand, he might be having the chance of healing the sickness.

No matter what, everything is just too little too late. He passed away on 25th March 2009, peacefully due to acute myocardial infarction. I did gave my last respect today, getting to see his "last face" before his body is being cremated tomorrow. I am not too sure about the exact date for the funeral. =(

May you rest in peace, uncle Foong Kam Poay (冯金培)

=( SAD

2nd time of me going to the clinic for 2 consecutive weeks.

It's been so long and I couldn't recall when was the last last time I went to the doctor, I guess it's already more than a year or even longer. I would say, only minor sickness I got during A-levels.

One week once, I "visited" the beloved doctor. That just sounds cool ? Isn't it? An apple a day keeps the doctor away? This is crappy I tell you. Although I don't take that many apple, but I do consume fruits almost everyday, as long as my house got 'STOCK'. Anyway, when you're sick, but you couldn't get enough sleep due to pile of works, that will cause my mood to swing, it seems like I'm having PMS or what >.<

I don't wanna go and see the doctor ANYMORE.. please, at least not this semester. I want back my HEALTHY BODY..=(

MARKS...

I screwed up all my papers for test and mid-term.

I hate the way of calculating marks in Uni =( , as I always rely on my last minute boost for finals, but now, it accumulates from all my perfomances throughout the semester. I'm lazy to study everyday la. KILL ME or You'll see me nearly FAILING the papers T.T

Sob sob ... I hope that all these are not going to continue for the next semester, for eg: being blur, not studying before exams, slacking in front of the com, in front of the TV.

AWWWWWWWWW......I don't want low marks !! Can I STRIVE for it? Lolx, maybe yes or maybe no, I'm just so LAZYYY!!!

p/s: the worst thing is that I screwed up my "calculus and analytical geometry".. SHIT ...

BLUR ._.

19 of March
Thursday

WHAT A BLUR DAY IN SCHOOL?

Today, I have my moral presentation. Fine, got to wake up early and reach school at around 7.15a.m., to practise once before our formal presentation later.

Later in the evening 2.00p.m., I have my bio lab session, where lab coat is required. Okay, since I'm almost late in the morning, I grab a white thingy from my room, and I rushed out.

During my bio lecture, at around 11.30a.m., I found out that the white thingy is a pair of WHITE PANTS.

OH NO!!

I thought it was my LAB COAT -.- Sigh... sigh... sigh...

Very lazy to go home and get my lab coat, it's not that I'm going to wear the pants on my hands/body -.-

Luckily Ms.Lai (bio lec) is a very nice lady, so, I borrowed from her.

- End of my blur story -

Fever... =(

I fell sick, mainly due to stress, lacking of sleep as well as rest.

Yesterday, when I'm in class
I thought it was just headache
after waiting for 2 hours for my chem lecture, I decided to go off because I felt as if my brain is going to burst.
I thought, everything would be alright once I get up from a nap.
However, after sleeping for 2 hours, when I woke up, I found my body so heaty and my headache just got worst.
No body is at home, and my body temperature continue to rise.
I couldn't drive to the clinic nearby because I can't even walk straight.
I slowly walked downstairs to get an ice bag and filled it with ice to lower my head's temperature.

I broke into tears as I felt so empty and useless when I'm all alone. I just can't help it, no one to call to help out.

In the end, my sister drove me to the clinic once she got back from work. I felt better after I took some medicine.

I dissected a RAT today

I was complaining why we don't get to dissect during Secondary5.
I asked my friends why we don't need to dissect for A-levels but those in STPM get to dissect.

Experiment 7 and 8, dissection of frog and rat .
Finally, I dissected a RAT today.
Okay, I thought my hands would be shaky when I'm holding the forceps but it wasn't.
I thought I would be shouting out loud, for the whole process, but only a while, when we're trying to pin (basically me only, as my friends said very disgusting) the legs of the rat. I have changed 'Ahhhh' to 'Amitabha'.
I thought I wouldn't be interested in this, but I found out that this is quite fun.

They tried to open up the skull to have a look on the brain, this is out of the scope of the experiment, but we don't want to waste that rat which sacrifice for us. One of the girls from another group,Phui Yan, wanted to cut open the skull, tried using both scissors and forcep but not succesful.
I suggested that we cut open from the neck, so I cut halfway down the neck.I had goose-bumps, as I saw the blood flowed out from the other end. This is an evil act to me and I couldn't continue. 'Amitabha'.Fang later separated the entire head of the rat from the body by using a pair of scissors. Oh man, goose-bumps again, especially when the eyes of the rat is facing towards you. By the way, we get to see the brain and the spinal cord as well

Afterall, I'm still excited. LOL, I bought fruit ROJAK after the experiment on my way back home =)

p/s:
The frogs they dissected are disgusting, but frogs are far more easier to dissect.

APRIL = FINAL EXAMS

Life is so busy when
- You have lots of lab reports.
- Assignments due dates are near.
- You're not getting good group mates.
- you need to work for your clubs and etc
- Tests, Mid-term, Final all around the corner. (yeah, when yr lecturer squeeze the dates of the exams all together)
- you need to prepare slides and videos and notes for presentations.
- YOU CAN HARDLY GATHER PPL TOGETHER TO DO THINGS.

One should be happy because
- The semester is ending
- and we have a SEM BREAK!!

.......

And these are going to be repeated again and again for 3 consecutive years.

First ever presentation...

Rushing ...

Now, continue on my Hailer's design work. Oh man, lots of works. But I just love it, hope that I can enjoy designing instead of rushing for datelines next time.

My Work

My first magazine work using Illustrator.
I found it quite tough as I don't expose much to it, I prefer photoshop's tools more.
Anyway, I still used photoshop to edit the comic.

This is not the final piece of work, just feel like posting it up since I won't be saving this file any longer after the magazine is being published. =)

She is happy and I'm happy

Had our random Sunday dinner at one of the steak house in Balakong, Milwaukee Steak Corner. The design of the building attracted us the last time we passed by the restaurant. Hence, we went there again purposely for this restaurant as suggested by my mummy. Heavy rain but we didn't bring umbrella where we had to run down the car, and got wet in order to walk into the restaurant.
My first impression of this restaurant when I have a look on their table and seats was like, "Hmm, why is the design so not attractive and and yet so many ppl like to come here? " However, they directed us to the 1st floor of the restaurant. Ok, here again, I'm impressed, at least here suits the design of the building. Quite comfortable tables and chairs, and they have a band here. Sorry but I forgot to snap a few pictures of the whole design.

Here is the menu...
The drinks here are very expensive. This is not nice, freshly squeezed 'X'tra large kiwi juice'. I gave the name myself. I think they put 2 kiwis only and it costs us RM13.80 +5% gov tax + 5% service charge.

A sald named " Chef Favourite". Not bad la, but I personally do not like the dressing where they mix in Wasabi, I don't like capsicum also. So...I won't order this anymore =p
Wild Mushroom Soup
RM8.90 for a small bowl
this is nice and my dad just love it.
He will order all kind of homemade mushroom soups in any restaurants.

Fillet O Fish- deep friend dory fish >.< Nothing very special to be descibed

Seafood Carbonara
Not bad afterall , I only took a tiny scallop from this dish.

Seafood Platter
This is nice and quite cheap, RM29.90
Got fish, squid, prawns ,mussels, and scallops.
The prawn not very nice (according to my mother)
The squid is just nice, tender and not tough

This is my main course
-Cordon Bleu-
I'm lazy and that's why I order easy to eat dish.
This is considered delicious to me, but the meat on the outer layer is a bit too hard.
Better than the one in Secret Recipe =x ( according to my mummy)
Oh yeah, I love their salad, especially the potato. very nice =p

While listening to the band, enjoy a Banana Split.
Vanila, Mint and Chocolate Ice-cream
I don't like the fried banana but the raw one.
However, my mum love it this way

P/S: We saw a small cockcroach under one of the tables' glass and we told the waitress and yet she didn't give any response. I assume that she don't understand what we said. In the end, we switched to another table. We didn't switch to any other restaurant although it sounded not so hygienic, mainly because my mum loves the environment =) Anyway, we enjoyed our dinner there.

Mum smiling with her seafood platter. She is happy and I'm happy =)
